Summary of the project:Voluntary Language Teaching programs are exciting and intellectually enriching experiences. Teaching a language as a volunteer will give you the opportunity to teach students who are eager to learn, and help them to improve their abilities in French, English,German ,or Spanish.
The students will also benefit from the cultural exchange and different teaching methodologies. This year FCC coordinates these activities with differents hosting structures in Morocco. Volunteers are placed either in host families or Shared appartements.
Special considerations:Volunteer will be conducting language classes in groups of 15-20 people on different language levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced) for maximum of 18 hours weekly. Every class lasts 90 minutes. Each group has classes every day. The first classes and workshops are going to start in October, and we prefer to host Volunteers who stay longer than 2 months . Volunteer has to arrive in Morocco before the start of the classes (dates mentioned in the outcome of his application) in order to get prepared. On the first week there will be preparation and orientation days with FCC international programs manager,and/or a national external partner of the project (hosting structure). The volunteer can start to design the workshops before the arrival. After arrival she/he will be provided with a training to obtain essential knowledge about the project and about teaching methodology. In addition the volunteer will be provided with example lessons and activities for the workshops. Volunteer is invited to take part in preparing his/her classes with other international volunteers. The students will also benefit from the cultural exchange and different teaching methodologies. Volunteers are placed either in public (governmental) schools or private schools and social centers. Costs of printed documents and materials for teaching are covered by the hosting structure.
