The action will bring together 12 countries in the meda region (8 from Europe and 4 x 2 participants from the meda region). In total there will be 16 participants.
The participants will come from organizations that work with minority groups at risk, with special reference to migrants and young women.

IAIC through its program ‘Night Owls’ (in Israel) has developed many good new practices and tools to return youth and young adults who are on the peripherals of society to re enter society as ‘normative’ and productive individuals.
Although the project ‘Night Owls’, in Israel, is aimed at both young men and women this action will focus on young women where the risk is greater and the solution more difficult.
During the action the participants will visit the ‘Night Owls’ project in different locations in Israel and speak to the youth and youth workers involved.
Meetings will be held with professional psychologists, welfare authorities and social workers to examine and discuss the problem as related to different cultures.
Workshops will be held where the examination of the methods used by IAIC will be examined and studied and where necessary adapted to the different partners and made suitable to their different cultures.
During the action each participant will be given the opportunity to present their organization and culture.
Study trips will also be made to the different cultures in Israel.
A short DVD will be produced of the action as well as manual that will illustrate ‘Night Owls’ and its good practices’.

The action will lead to a better understand of ‘young women at risk’ and tools and good practices that are suitable for each participant and their organization to use to help these young women and return them to normative society.
It will increase the capacity, creativity and inter personal skills of the participants and their organizations as well as provide an intercultural learning experience.
The action will return young women at risk who are discriminated against, who suffer from alienation, prejudice and stereotyping to society, to school and their normative peer groups.
Leading them to be more fulfilled and happier citizens of our community.

Special considerations:Project targets those who work with young immigrant or minority communities female youth and young adults.
