Summary of the project:Please note actual dates of action will be decided upon by partners and restart of the EMIV program.

The action will include 4 participants from 6 countries and their group leaders. There will be balance between Meda and European Countries as well as gender balance.
In the preparation period the participants will prepare presentations of their culture and country and the effect water has had on it (historical, conflict, economical and political). These will be presented during the activity and used as a basis to discuss the importance of water in the past and in the future for these different communities.
During the activity the participants will see different sites in Israel where water has played an important part in the development of society and different communities plus the need and use of water today. These visits will be used as a basis of workshops to understand development of different communities, water as a source of conflict and the importance of water in the world today and the need to conserve a clean water supply for future generations (environmental footprint).
During the action the participants will prepare a program for building community awareness on the need to conserve and protect their community’s water resources. This program will be implemented on their return home.
Workshops will also be held on the importance of water in the European and Mediterranean region and how it has been and is a source conflict and the need for conflict (based on water) prevention.

The participants will learn of each others cultures and their environment and the importance of its protection for future generations.
The participants will become more active citizens through the awareness program they build during the activity and the implementation of it on their return home. Through this implementation the partner organizations will also increase their contribution to society and their community.
Through the building of awareness of the participants and their communities in the follow up activities greater preservation of clean water resources will occur.
By bringing together youth from different minority groups and use at risk they will realize that their problems are shared by others and that they are not alone – this will lead to solidarity between the participants and the forming of a network between them.
