Summary of the project:The project theme is the nature protection implemented through practical field activities focused on Lesser Spotted Eagle in Romania. The main project goal is to provide to young volunteer possibilities to get experienced thought non-formal learning, to see the real problems of nature protection and to show the ways of solution as well. Lesser Spotted Eagle is a raptor species with breeding range restricted mostly to central, eastern and south-east Europe. It has suffered a major decline in many countries, it is considered to be a species in decline throughout its whole range. The Romanian population is estimated at 2,000 pairs, that represents 22,2% of the EU population. The hosting organization is implementing from January 2010 a big scaled project aimed to Lesser Spotted Eagle. The main objective of the project is to ensure conditions to achieve and maintain favorable conservation status of Romanian population. This will be reached through stabilizing the population numbers and ensuring conditions to maintain the favorable conservation status on the long term in Romania. \\\\r\\\\n
