Summary of the project:With two thirds of the earth's surface covered by water and the human body consisting of 75 percent of it, it is evidently clear that water is one of the prime elements responsible for life on earth. Water circulates through the land just as it does through the human body, transporting, dissolving, replenishing nutrients and organic matter, while carrying away waste material. Our project is intended to give information of the systems of saving water and create a kind of awareness in the theme of nature. We are a big school which has a great system of saving rain water to use it effectively. We have an artificial lake behind our school which collects rain water to use it for our bathrooms and cleaning facilities. In our project , we would like to take attention to saving water and developing systems of water saving system as in our school. It is an environmental project which will be held for 6 days in Ankara with the partners from EU. We will discuss the need for water and how can we stop the waste of it. We will have some kind of workshops in our students home concerning the topic by using non-formal teaching technics and inductive learning through games . We prefer creating an awareness to the students and their families by the help of our partners from EU. Moreover, our students will get to know the way of working cooperatively with their peers from Europe. They will search, work, think of the ways of water saving and earth.
