Summary of the project:2011 is the European year for volunteering. So this project will examine how the young people can involve in volunteer work like EVS and have an active role in the civil society. "Volunteering strengthens our core European values: solidarity and social cohesion. As we launch the European Year of Volunteering, I want to rally support for people who make a difference. During the project we will focus on EVS activities and we find ways to promote the volunteer spirit and roles and responsibilities of volunteers. The daily program will include workshops, team works, lectures, open discussions and outdoor activities. The European Year of Volunteering in 2011 has four main objectives: to lower obstacles to volunteering in the EU; to improve the quality of volunteering; to reward and recognise volunteering activities; and to raise awareness of the value and importance of volunteering to the economy, society and the individual.
