Summary of the project:For 8 days, 30 young people from different nationalities, coming from 5 European countries will work together in an intercultural environment, focusing on the theme of sport and how it can be an instrument of integration and create the direct positive effects on young people. The project's objective is to develop a sense of tolerance and helping to fight against the discrimination using sport as a common language that is based on the rules and team spirit and as a tool that promotes healthy growth of the children, both at mental and physical dimensions. The young participants will share their experiences discussing how sports are viewed and treated in their countries and in their educational, cultural and social system.
Participants (under the guidance of experts) will organize their sport activities by giving examples of the sports or games they played at school or in their free-time, and they will work together with workshops and laboratories to create new types of games and sports that will be presented and implemented in a summer youth camp that involves children and adolescents aged from 6 to 16 years old.
All costs are covered except for 30% of travel costs that are covered by the participants.
Special considerations:If it’s possible, we want to involve people with fewer opportunities (ethnic minorities, youngsters with economic difficulties, young people who live in remote and rural areas etc.etc.)
