Summary of the project:ummary: Training course on motivating youth to do voluntary work in view of economic crisis





Theme of the training course:



In times of economic crisis, as the one where experiencing, young people are ones who are the most affected. Many cannot find a job and others may loose it. This can generate frustration and cause young people to be inactive in society, since there are no motivations to do so.

Voluntary work can be used as a means to motivate young people to be active, to achieve self-fulfillment, be involved in a society, get a practical experience that can help to find a job more easily or a job opportunity can be given to the volunteer by the organization that the volunteer was involved in.

As a mean to higher employment, to get a practical experience, to be involve in a society and achieve self-fulfillment is to motivate young to get involved in voluntary work.


The overall aim of the TC is:



Provide youth workers with methods and techniques to promote participation and to motivate youth. Deepen their knowledge on project possibilities and create opportunities for future collaborations.



Learning objectives of the training course are:


1. Tools to motivate youth
2. Information on Youth in Action
activities and other transnational activities
3. Techniques to promote and
publicize voluntary work
4. Arguments on why to take up
voluntary service
5. Exploration of the possibilities
to find jobs while or after being on a
voluntary activity
Special considerations:Target group\r\n\r\nYouth leaders, Youth workers, Young people\r\nSupport people directly working with young people; experienced of working with unemployed or people with less opportunities\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nFor participants from\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nEU members countries, Iceland , Lichtenstein , Norway , Turkey , South East Europe
