Summary of the project:THE IDEA OF THE PROJECT “Local Youth Policy – Municipality’s Priority?” comes from the need we observed for the creation of a sustainable network among municipalities all over Europe on Local Youth Policy. In order to establish such a network on this issue we bring together local politicians, youth experts and youngsters from different ages to discuss and to construct a coherent and innovative Local Youth Policy! WE AIM TO increase the awareness of the importance of youth participation in democratic processes. This we do by supporting young people to take an active and conscious role in the political life of their municipality and on the other hand encouraging municipalities to actively include young people in the policy making process. Besides raising awareness about the need for democratic and transparent processes, understanding the different ideas on Local Youth Policy around Europe via an exchange of best practices is inevitable. Last but not least, with the project “Local Youth Policy – Municipality’s Priority?” we aim at creating a valuable, constructive and long-term network of municipalities.
Special considerations:OSMANGAZI MUNICIPALITY always tries to include as much as possible participants with less opportunities. However for this project we are not specifically aiming this target group.
